Angie Light “Ms. Angie”

Sweetgrass Preschool Founder, Director, and Lead Teacher

Angie is a Waldorf-certified Early Childhood Educator with 9+ years of experience in leading infant/parent, toddler/parent and preschool Waldorf early childhood programs. She combines her love of early childhood education with a deep desire to nourish children and their families in becoming their celebrated and best selves.

She would describe herself as a gentle activist toward the preservation of childhood, family health and the precious environment that holds all of us in place. This all culminates into a deep sense of belonging and care for the child; great empathy and respect for parents and their parenting; and a fervent belief in the power of imaginative play, particularly outdoor play in nature.

Angie also holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of British Columbia, Canada and is a certified Leadership and Life Coach from Royal Roads University on Vancouver Island, BC.

Most importantly, Angie is a Mama of two daughters, who are her greatest teachers.
