Everything in and around us has a rhythm – our heartbeat, the moon, the life cycles of a plant, the tides, a day in the life of a bumble bee. Rhythm in early childhood plays an essential role in the emerging development of the child by supporting a child's natural rhythms and promoting their overall well-being. 

Starting each day at Sweetgrass, teachers not only prepare for the day with organizational tasks - setting things beautifully in readiness for the children - but we also prepare ourselves to be as emotionally and spiritually clear, open and worthy of receiving each child as we possibly can.
